Card reader

  • The difference between a card reader and a USB flash drive

Card reader is a card reading device, which needs to be used with the insertion of a matching memory card (storage medium), including our common SD card, TF card, CF card, etc. The card reader is the bridge between memory card and computer equipment, which is responsible for the transmission of both.
The U disk is called the flash disk, is a flash media and data interface integration, storage media does not support assembly and disassembly, through the USB interface to connect the data terminal, plug and play.
The transmission speed of the card reader mainly depends on the reading speed of the data interface and memory card, while the transmission speed of the U disk mainly depends on the reading speed of the flash media of the data interface and the U disk.

  • How to choose a card reader

When the mobile phone or camera does not have a data cable to connect to the computer, take the memory card out and insert it into the card reader, and then connect it to the USB port of the computer, so that the data inside can be read. The card reader is a tool for reading and writing files in the memory card. Although camera pictures do not have to go through a card reader before they can be exported to computers and mobile phones, the convenience of using a card reader to read files is widely recognized. When buying a card reader, we must first ensure that the interface type is consistent with the memory card we are using

In addition, the card reader also has a difference in transmission speed, which is mainly reflected in the performance indicators of the transmission interface.

For example, the USB3.0 interface is significantly faster than USB2.0. Of course, this requires that the computer's USB interface is also 3.0 standard.

  • The purpose of the card reader

The card reader is produced with the digital camera, but its use is no longer limited to the digital camera, but has expanded to more fields.
The card reader, as the name suggests, is a device for reading data, but it not only supports data reading but also data writing. The initial design idea is mainly to make up for the defects of digital camera data output. Since the USB interface was not popular in the early days, the output ports of digital cameras were all connected to the serial port of the computer. Since the data transmission speed of the serial port was very low, it would take a lot of waiting time if these data were copied to the hard disk. , Therefore, the card reader came into being. With the development of digital products such as MP3 and PDA, the development of card readers has been strongly promoted. The standard 256M or 512M flash memory of MP3 is obviously not enough to meet our needs, so adding 1G or higher flash memory has become our standard configuration, but if we want to copy MP3 songs to the flash memory, we can only play through MP3. At this time, we need a dedicated connection, driver and software to complete, so the portability of MP3 players is much worse, and if we use a card reader at this time, there is no need for MP3 playback. With the intervention of the device, you can directly store MP3 songs on the flash memory, so that MP3 becomes more convenient to use.

  • How to use the card reader

Take WINXP system as an example
First insert the memory card into the card reader. (Which position is inserted, everyone depends on the size of the card slot. The contact point can be determined anyway.) After connecting to the computer, it will be displayed in the lower right corner. New hardware (XP automatic installer), you will be prompted to use it after installation. The notification area in the lower right corner shows a small icon with a green arrow. Just put the things you want to install into the corresponding folder.
    note:
1 Do not plug or unplug the card reader when reading data.
2 When uninstalling the card reader, be sure to close the page opened by the card reader, otherwise it may not be uninstalled.
3 If you find that the page is closed, it still cannot be uninstalled. Open my computer and refresh it for a few times before uninstalling.
    Audio UHF card reader
The card reader reads the corresponding device information in the electronic label
The reading distance is 1 meter (different tags have different reading distances)
Note: If the device is made of metal material, you should choose the anti-metal UHF electronic tag, but the distance of the reader to read the anti-metal electronic tag is shorter than that of the conventional UHF electronic tag.
    The card device is connected with the audio port (earplug hole) of the smart phone; directly transmits the collected data to the smart phone through the audio interface;
The data collected by the card reader is transmitted to the smart phone through the audio port, and the smart phone is transmitted to the inspection system in real time through the CDMA1x network, and the inspection situation is tracked in real time and then processed.
Advantages: Long card reading distance, easy to carry.
Disadvantages: The card reader itself has no buttons, so you need to set a card reader button on your smart phone. For automatic card reading, you don’t need to set a card reader button.

  • What is a card reader

A card reader is a card reading device used in a computer to read and write a multimedia card as a mobile storage device. Some card readers can only access one type of memory card, while others are all-in-one card readers. Some memory cards have integrated the function of a card reader. Users only need to insert the memory card into the USB socket, and the computer can access the data in the memory card in real time.
A card reader is a device that reads data. It not only supports data reading, but also data writing, and is widely used in mobile data storage. A memory card can be inserted into the slot, and a port can be connected to the computer. After inserting a suitable memory card into the slot, connecting the port to the computer and installing the required driver, the computer treats the memory card as a removable memory, so that the memory card can be read and written through a card reader. Commonly used card readers are: USB type TF dedicated card reader, sim card reader, CRW-X type non-contact card reader.
