    A traditional spinning hard disk drive (HDD) is the basic non-volatile memory on a computer. In other words, when the system is shut down, it will not "walk away" like the data on the system memory. Hard disk drives are essentially metal disks with a magnetic coating. For an internal 2.5-inch drive with the same capacity and form factor of 1TB, you will pay about $75 for a hard drive, but in this article, the SSD is a huge $600. This means 8 cents per GB for HDD and 60 cents per GB for SSD. Other capacities are slightly cheaper (250 to 256GB: $150 SSD, $50 HDD), but you know the idea.
